Your Guide to Super Bowl Parties: KISS and Much More…

In just a little over two weeks, all eyes will be on DFW as one of the biggest sporting events in America takes over. Already the streets are buzzing with excitement as we get ready for the nearly 150,000 visitors who will fill up our streets and our hotels, turning DFW into one of the most exciting cities in the country (as if we weren’t already).

While many of these people are coming into town for the big game, many more are coming for all the perks that surround the game, most notably the parties. Yep, where there are major sporting events, you can guarantee that there will be parties on a scale that makes NYE look like a backyard BBQ.

With so many great events happening in just one week, how do you keep track of where all the activity is? To start, check out our newly launched Super Bowl party page for a rundown of our personal picks. From The Village People to Diddy, there’s something for everyone and the amount of star power on this one page alone is enough to eclipse the brightest lights on Reunion Tower.

One of the parties I’m most excited about is going to have me Rockin’ all Nite (and possibly partying every day). Yep, you guessed it: one of the godfathers of Rock is bringing all his long tongued, bass rocking glory to Fair Park. Gene Simmons of Kiss is the host of Aces and Angels, which is being held at Centennial Hall in Fair Park on Wednesday February 2. Coming along with him will be a who’s who of bands, celebrities and stars as well as an all star poker tournament on February 1, hosted by 11-time World Series of Poker champion Phil Hellmuth. As if that weren’t enough, there’s also a chance to win a $10,000 seat at the World Series of Poker table and the Texas State Poker Championship official bracelet.

Whether this is your first Super Bowl or you consider yourself a big game veteran, you’ll definitely want to stay in the know for all the hottest parties in a city that for 7 days probably won’t sleep. Big D will be alive from sun up to sun down, so be sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter to stay in the loop on where I’ll be and what’s going down. Stay connected and chances are that you might just be able to snag some gifts and special Eventbrite merchandise you can’t get anywhere else. Make sure to check out the party page today and make your picks for where you’ll spend your days (and your nights). See you out and about DFW!
