Unique Party Favors Help Keep the Buzz at Eventbrite's Birthday Bash

Never underestimate the value of memorable party favors. Last week Eventbrite San Francisco threw an event for our current top organizers in the Bay Area at our new office space in SOMA. Timed to mark Eventbrite’s 5th birthday as a company, the theme was styled as a five-year-old’s birthday party. In line with the theme we had party hats, a pinata, party games, cotton candy, popcorn and of course birthday cake.

Now for my own 5th birthday my mom threw me a ballerina party–and what did my kindergarten classmates remember years and years after? The party favors (which for the record happened to be tutus). Party favors are a great way to give guests a reason to continue talking about your event and keep the post-event buzz high. At our party guests were able to take home their own handmade cotton candy, framed designs created with the paint spinner, and (the total scene stealer) photo flipbooks by The Laugh Box.

Other than the cake pops by Sweet Lauren Cakes, the flipbooks were the biggest hit at the party. I first met The Laugh Box team at a Yelp event awhile back and made my first photo flipbook with them at their Holiday Hangover party at the Payne Mansion. Guests of our birthday party got to take a 7-second movie that was turned into their very own take-home flipbook. Some liked it so much they even uploaded their flipbooks online!

Oh, and back to the cake pops. We got quite a few questions on Twitter asking where we ordered them, so we’ll be featuring more of Sweet Lauren Cakes’ famed creations at our fashion event tomorrow: Project San Francisco! Party favors at that event will include all sorts of fun fashion related swag: bags from TheFind, discounts and samples from local designers, and copies of 7×7′s latest issue, all of which which we are quite excited about. Can’t wait to see you tomorrow!
