TaskRabbit and Eventbrite: Helping Moms Do More. Live More. Be More.

If you had more free time, how would you spend it?

At Eventbrite, we make events easier, so that planners can spend more time focusing on other things. Our friends at TaskRabbit have a product that makes people’s lives easier, too, as users typically create accounts so they can spend time doing the things that they most enjoy, rather than the laundry.

A lot of moms use both Eventbrite and TaskRabbit to make their lives easier- whether it’s planning an event or getting rid of errands. Coincidentally, both companies have female founders who understand how valuable time is for moms. Our President, Julia Hartz, knows firsthand how busy moms can get, which is why we are especially excited to host an event along with TaskRabbit’s founder, Leah Busque, who is leading their Promises campaign.

TaskRabbit’s “Do More. Live More. Be More.” campaign is all about having folks commit to spending more time doing the things they love – hanging with their kids, going to the gym, reading a book. Users submit what they promise to themselves, if they had more time to do the things they wanted to do. After submitting a promise, people are entered to win weekly (fabulous) prizes and after a month, we’ll pick one lucky winner for a luxury vacation.

The 30-day campaign kicked off with the TaskRabbit Chicago launch party on Wednesday, September 14, and prizes are being doled out every Monday and Friday at 1:00 p.m., until the campaign culminates on Friday, October 14.

To support the campaign, Julia Hartz of Eventbrite and Leah Busque of TaskRabbit are hosting an event next week in San Francisco, to mix and mingle with moms. Both founders, and both fans of promising to take time to do the things you love.

What do you promise to do with your free time?
