Knowing where your customers come from is the key to successful online marketing. Without this information, the online marketer is blind and unable to invest his efforts in the most rewarding tactics. Eventbrite tracking links are definitely worth checking out if you plan to promote your event from multiple online or email sources. You can use tracking links to measure the hits and registrations sent from your blog, your newsletter, your buddy’s blog, your Twitter updates, what have you. To make tracking links, just add the unique description of your choice to the end of your event URL. For example http://www.eventbrite.com/events/1234567/anything or http://youreventname.eventbrite.com/anything. You can name and create as many tracking links as you need. Click on your link once to “activate” it and an entry will appear in the Tracking Links management area. Tracking links are also created for you automatically when you send email invitations or when attendees find out about your event on one of our partner sites. You can access the Tracking Links management area via the “Promote” section of your event management dashboard. Or go to http://www.eventbrite.com/links?eid=[your event ID here].
