Microsoft Launches WebMatrix with Eventbrite Integration

This morning at CodeMash in Ohio, Microsoft announced WebMatrix, a very cool new web development tool designed to streamline the process of creating a website. Here’s how WebMatrix works, in their words:

“Users can customize their site using the code and database editor within WebMatrix. Publish your site and databases to your hosting provider or choose from a gallery of hosting providers that are compatible with the web site you build. Once a hosting package is selected and configured, WebMatrix then seamlessly publishes the site and database to the web. With WebMatrix you can use ASP.NET Web Pages including a new easy-to-learn programming model called ‘Razor’, or you can also use PHP or classic ASP.”

So why does this news matter to you as an Eventbrite user? Because they’re launching with a nifty connector to our product called “Eventbrite Helper,” which makes it a snap to promote Eventbrite events within your WebMatrix site. Integrate with your calendar, sell tickets, manage your event info—you can do it all. Pretty great, right?

Here’s the quick guide to getting started with Eventbrite Helper, and the link to download WebMatrix and learn more.
