Facebook Connect & Eventbrite

We’re very pleased to announce that event holders can now publish their events directly to Facebook right from within Eventbrite.  We’ve added this exciting new feature to allow Eventbrite event holders to more easily take advantage of Facebook as a promotional channel for their events.

Effective immediately, when you publish a new event on Eventbrite you can opt to additionally publish your event to Facebook at the same time.  With just a single click, all of your event information will be automatically transferred to Facebook, including the when, where, the event details and a link back to your Eventbrite registration page.

Eventbrite event holders who already have live events may also publish a copy of their event to Facebook at any time by clicking on the new “Publish to Facebook” option located on the Promote menu.

Once an event has been published to Facebook, event holders may invite their Facebook friends to their event from within Facebook and take advantage of other ways to share, socialize and promote events on Facebook.

A news feed update will appear on the event holder’s Facebook profile when they publish an event.

Likewise, anyone with a Facebook account may choose to add a news feed update whenever they register for an Eventbrite event.

For step-by-step instructions for event holders, please visit “How to Publish your event on Facebook“.

The integration of Eventbrite and Facebook is a product of Facebook Connect.

  1. Great integration! Now, are there any plans to allow an event to be published to a Facebook PAGE now that it’s supported in Facebook’s Open Stream API? That would be perfect :) Thanks!

  2. I would also like to see “publish to a PAGE on Facebook” as an option ASAP.
