We want to congratulate the organizers of the Stop the Spray Live Benefit Concert for a successful event. About 1,000 people showed up today in Sausalito to enjoy performances by Bob Weir, Maria Muldaur, the Phat Barbees, the Bob Hill Band and others. Actor Peter Coyote was the emcee, introducing the musicians and Bay Area politicians who also wanted to weigh in on the subject of aerial spraying to eradicate the light brown apple moth. The concert was organized by Stop the Spray Marin, a community-based group of citizens and grassroots organizers concerned for the health, environmental and economic risks of the planned LBAM eradication program, and committed to sustainable, and ecologically sound alternatives to pest control.
