I’ve invited Eventbrite eventholder, Daniel Brusilovsky, to talk a little bit about his upcoming event, the Teens in Tech Conference. This is the first of a new series called Eventholder Interviews. The goal here is to give Eventbrite eventholders a chance to promote their events in their own words and to share their experiences with the Eventbrite Eventholder Community.
1. What is the Teens in Tech Conference and what exactly is its mission?
The Teens in Tech Conference is a conference that Sam Levin and I are planning that is bringing youth and technology together in San Francisco. Learn from teenagers what they think about the current trends of teenage technology. Feel inspired to create technology, at a younger age all the Teens in Tech Conference. From developers, to entrepreneurs, to video-blogging, find it all the 2009 Teens in Tech Conference.
2. Describe the type of person who should attend.
Anyone who’s interested in what teenagers are thinking, and developing should come to the conference. Our goal is to showcase some of the youngest talent in the Silicon Valley and beyond, and show that just because we are teenagers, doesn’t mean we can’t be successful.
3. How will you measure the success of your event after its over?
We will you measure the success of the conference when we see our attendees walk away from the event with more knowledge of what teenagers are really doing, and seeing that we aren’t what most people classify us as.
4. Who are your sponsors?
The Teens in Tech Conference is proudly sponsored by Adobe, Microsoft, Speck Products, Rickshaw Bagworks, RadTech, Western Digital, Tatango, Blue Microphones and Dollar App. Media partners include Mashable and Futureworks PR.
5. What’s been the most challenging aspect of pulling together an event like this?
I think just getting everyone to actually come together to learn. We have great support from our amazing sponsors, so now it’s just getting everyone together to the event.
6. What’s the headline of the story you’d most like to see written about your event?
Personally, I would like to see one of our speakers introduce a new company or project. I think it would prove more that teenagers can do anything.
7. What is the number one reason to attend the Teens in Tech Conference?
To learn. What better way to learn form the people who use services like Facebook, MySpace, etc more then anyone else. Learning is key in technology and in life.
