Workshop topics include: Mastering the Fundamentals: focuses on helping you understand the fundamentals of community building organizations, such as finding funding, sustainable growth, and attracting & keeping great talent.  Big Ideas: What are the most important ideas in community building that few people are talking about?  Success Stories:  will inspire you with behind-the-scenes accounts of successful programs. And Cross-Sector Collaborations:  showcases how to work together to tip over the silos (government, business, nonprofit organizations) and build pipelines that can make long lasting impact on your community.  See the full schedule.  Register now to attend the 2009 Craigslist Foundation Non-Profit Boot Camp.  Browse more events in Berkeley.

  1. Hi Jack,

This post was really helpful, especially since I’m currently trying to use social media to help get the word out re: charities. Maybe you can help a bit? The project is called “A Kiss for Charity.” In short, it’s a Twitter flash mob – a simultaneous kiss – that benefits the Save the Family Foundation of Arizona, an organization that assists homeless families with children in their transition to self-sufficiency. They have been struggling due to the economic downturn, and we want everyone to do their part to help – because every child needs a kiss.

We’re asking people to follow us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/akissforcharity). We’ll be providing regular information, updates, and fun facts. Towards the end of the week, we’re going to ask our followers to tweet #kissforcharity – exact date and time is a surprise and will only be announced on Twitter. If we get over 1000 people to participate in the Twitter flash mob, we’ll be able to donate $1000 to Save the Family Foundation of Arizona.

Anyway – any thoughts you may have are greatly appreciated!

  2. Hi Jack,

I’m delighted to see the craigslist bootcamp for nonprofits is up and ready for registration once again.

Also, thanks for your comment on my examiner.com blog at http://bit.ly/sKamJ regarding nonprofit events. Eventually, I’ll want to provide my readers with some info on training conferences and professional development events, too and the craigslist bootcamp is a great place to start.

I look forward to following your blog in the future.

    Regards,
    Maureen
