When it comes to creating useful, intuitive, and easy-to-use features, Eventbrite often looks to its legion of experienced and savvy event organizers who know what they need.  Well, we received our marching orders on Waitlist Management and we're excited to let you know that attendee overflow management is no longer a pain point! In line with our mantra, events made easy, Waitlist Management is a snap to set up and manage.  You can indicate how you want the waitlist to trigger (by ticket type or event capacity), set up the size of the waitlist, collect custom information from waitlistees, and create a time limit for waitlistees to purchase tickets for your event.  ... Update on Rackspace Outage

Hello Eventbriters, As was widely reported yesterday, Eventbrite was one of the many sites that was affected by the power outage at our server center, Rackspace. Our course of action throughout the unplanned outage was to maintain a constant line of contact with the management at Rackspace as they worked to resolve the massive issue affecting many companies online.  We were able to direct them to our server boxes to get up and running with little down time. When infrequent and unplanned site outages occur, we utilize Twitter to update our users on an outside account.  If you haven't already, please do follow us there: @eventbrite. All issues at Rackspace look to be resolved as of late yesterday but if ... Continue Reading

Service Update

Update: The issue is officially under control.  We are now working with our service providers to prevent this from happening again.  Obviously, we regret the loss of service and we deeply appreciate the patience and supportive responses we've received from our customers.  We sincerely feel your pain! Original Post: At midnight PT Eventbrite experienced a malicious DOS (denial of service) attack.  Because of this attack, our service was unavailable.  We responded immediately and our entire team is working on this issue diligently as I type. We appreciate your patience and I will post an update when we have a final resolution. The Eventbrite Team

For those of you event holders who prefer to collect and track RSVP responses for your event, you'll be happy to hear that we've improved the RSVP box on the event page! Based on customer feedback, we moved the RSVP option to right above the ticket order form to increase visibility and help you track more RSVP responses.  When an invitee selects "Yes", they can order a ticket and when the "No" or "Undecided" option is selected, the invitee can leave a message for you in lieu of purchasing tickets. We think it flows better and makes more sense.  We hope you agree! Keep talkin' to us, cause we're listening. --The Eventbrite Team
