Adobe Password Breach: What You Need to Know

At Eventbrite, we take account security seriously.  It was recently announced that Adobe experienced a serious breach of security. Since many people use the same password for multiple accounts, our Trust and Safety team immediately thought of our users and wanted to ensure their accounts and data remained protected.

The Eventbrite system has not been compromised, but as a precaution, we recommend you take the following steps to ensure the safety of your personal information:

1. First, visit https://lastpass.com/adobe to check if your email address(es) were part of the compromised list.

2. Even if you don’t remember creating an Adobe account, you should check to see if you have one.  If you do have an account, reset your Adobe password even if your email isn’t part of the compromised list.  You can reset at https://www.adobe.com/go/passwordreset.

3. Change any password that might be the same as the one you used with Adobe. If your Eventbrite account password was the same as the one you used with your Adobe account, you should immediately change it by going to https://www.eventbrite.com/password.  If you don’t remember your Eventbrite password, you can reset it here as well https://www.eventbrite.com/resetpassword.

4. Setting unique and complex passwords is critical to online safety. You should avoid using the same password twice and the longer and more uncommon the combination of letters, numbers, and symbols, the harder it will be for your account and security to be compromised.
