summermash san francisco

I had the pleasure of attending Mashable’s SummerMashSF last evening and can report the event was a wild success. By 7:20PM, there was a line of San Francisco technoholics, Web 2.0 scenesters and their stilletoed groupies all the way down the block on Utah Street. Inside the spacious venue (popular SOMISSPO district night club Mighty), there was barely enough room to make your way from the Rohit Bhargava book-signing table to the bar (a distance of about 9 feet) without getting to know a half-dozen strangers really, really well. But tight quarters make for good (social) networking. I’m just glad I brought enough business cards and breath mints. Congrats to Pete Cashmore and the Mashable crew for a kick-ass event, and best of luck with the rest of the tour which continues this Friday in Los Angeles. Attend if you can.
